Bangkok, Thailand — September 23, 2026 — The Timor-Leste Mission participated in the Strategic Alignment and Collaboration Summit, held in Bangkok, Thailand, from September 20–23, 2026. The summit brought together church leaders and ministry partners to strengthen cooperation and strategic alignment in advancing the mission of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.
The summit was conducted under the theme, “One Mission, One Strategy, One Goal,” emphasizing the importance of working together with a shared purpose to reach more people with the gospel of Jesus Christ.
During the opening session, Pastor Roger Caderma emphasized the importance of every church worker and ministry partner making a meaningful contribution to OneVoice27. He highlighted the role of every ministry in supporting the Church’s mission to reach people and lead them to accept Jesus Christ as their Savior.

Pastor Alex Ott, Associate Secretary of the General Conference of Seventh-day Adventists, presented on two key principles of the summit: alignment and collaboration. Alignment involves pursuing a common purpose, while collaboration requires different groups and ministries to work together while fulfilling their respective roles.
“True collaboration happens when everyone works toward the same goal while understanding and fulfilling their respective roles,” Ott stated.
The summit focused on three major areas of mission outreach: media reach, church-based evangelism, and reaching people in major cities. These areas were presented as important components of a coordinated strategy for sharing the gospel in an increasingly connected world.
For the Timor-Leste Mission, OneVoice27 is welcomed as a strategic initiative that can help expand the Church’s outreach and connect more people with the message of hope and salvation. The Mission recognizes the importance of utilizing available digital technology and communication platforms to strengthen evangelistic efforts.
Through Hope Channel Timor-Leste and Adventist World Radio (AWR) Timor-Leste, outreach programs continue to use media platforms to share messages of faith, hope, and salvation with communities across Timor-Leste and beyond.
The summit also highlighted a changing understanding of technology in ministry. Rather than viewing technology as a challenge, church leaders emphasized its potential as an opportunity to reach people who may not otherwise be connected with the Church.
For the Timor-Leste Mission, the strategic alignment and collaboration discussed during the summit provide an opportunity to strengthen partnerships among ministries and expand the use of digital platforms in fulfilling the Church’s mission.
As church leaders and ministry partners work together under the vision of “One Mission, One Strategy, One Goal,” the focus remains on using every available opportunity—including media, technology, and local church ministries—to share the gospel and invite people to know Jesus Christ as their Savior.
