This activity was welcomed enthusiastically by students who were directly involved in gaining real-world experience, where this activity was a continuation of the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Vinod Patel and ADRA Timor-Leste.
In a release received by this media via social media accounts, the Timor Leste Adventist International School expressed that the great hope in this activity is the success of students in the world of work in the future. “With prayers for success, they embark on a dynamic journey into the world of work” as stated in the release received by this media.
Saanvi, a class 12 student, told the media that on the first day, she worked at Vinod Patel, she was assigned to ensure that every item in the shop had a price tag, and set prices, and was also assigned to tidy up the shelves. ” “On my first day of work immersion at Vinod Patel, I was tasked with ensuring every item in the store had a price tag, fixing prices, and tidying up the shelves,” he said.
He further revealed that as a student, this activity was one of his first experiences. “I found myself meticulously organizing and cleaning, realizing the importance of attention to detail in customer satisfaction,” he said.
Meanwhile, at ADRA, one of the students, Natashia, a grade 11 student, revealed that on the first day she worked at ADRA, she saw how enthusiastic people were at work, which made her also enthusiastic. He also revealed that before starting work, he carried out morning worship and continued by introducing himself. “On my first day of work at ADRA, I was feeling a bit nervous yet excited. They were still having their worship when I arrived. Then they allowed me to introduce myself,” he said.
Furthermore, he revealed that the location where he worked was full of friendliness, and took the time to explain everything related to work at ADRA, so he felt very happy. It was just my first day, but I learned tons of information and felt grateful to be able to learn it.”
